Tory Wegner, LAc
Tory Wegner is nationally licensed and board certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She maintains state licensure in both North Carolina and California and specializes in adjunctive treatment for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. She is also skilled at treating all types of pain (acute and chronic), utilizing her advanced training in Dr. Tan’s Balance Method and Master Tung’s points. One of Tory’s greatest assets is her ability to guide people using lifestyle, dietary, and herbal modifications when they are struggling to find health and balance while simultaneously dealing with complicated conditions and sometimes intense Western treatments. This has lead to a natural progression in her practice to include people faced with infertility issues, which is often a very difficult and emotional time.
Tory attended a four-year medical program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. During her education, Tory received unique training in the treatment of cancer and chronic disease and now devotes her practice to aiding people coping with challenging illnesses. She completed an internship program at Rady’s Children’s Hospital treating children with cancer, hematological disease, and chronic pain. She has found that acupuncture provides safe and effective complementary treatment for nausea, fatigue, lack of appetite, pain, and emotional distress. In addition, Tory’s training at San Diego Hospice has given her deep insight into the cycles of life.
Tory earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University-of-Wisconsin Stevens Point and her biology and chemistry major combined with her strong desire to help people lead her to investigate careers in the health field. After being introduced to acupuncture for the first time, it became clear that the ancient medicine was her path to helping people in many different and life changing ways.
