Safety of Acupuncture
Is it safe to use acupuncture if I’ve been diagnosed with cancer?
Yes. Most physicians are aware that acupuncture and the use of acupuncture needles poses little or no risk to the person diagnosed with cancer. Acupuncture needles are sterile, prepared only for individual use and your acupuncturist is certified in Clean Needle Technique to comply with OSHA requirements. Acupuncture also has few if any negative side-effects. The licensed acupuncturists at Triangle Acupuncture Clinic are very familiar with the treatment needs of cancer patients, including those of people with lymphedema, metastases, neutropenia and other complications.
